New Years Greetings to all…..This is Ernie Elliott with some sad news. For those of you who don’t know me I am Earl’s Husband.

Earl passed away this past weekend. There is no easy way to say it. Earl was winning his fight against his cancer and the treatment side affects, so this caught us all off guard. I plan to have a small memorial with family and a couple of friends initially. Then a few weeks later I will announce a date for a memorial CELEBRATION. Earl doesn’t want people moping around talking about how great he was. He’d want you to be in high spirit as you spoke about how great he was!

This past year Earl and I talked about the courses he taught and the one-on-one mentorship he provided. We estimated that over 800 people stepped across the portal to his studio to seek a greater connection with their art. So for the grand celebratory memorial, i’m expecting to hear from those interested in taking the mike to sing, read poetry or perhaps dance. He loved to hear good dish. So the mike would be open to dish about Earl and his alter-persona Buckminster Duck. Again, the date for this is yet to be determined but I will get the word out through his normal email Quackcity distribution list, Facebook and his all important Quackcity blog.

The photos here are Earl’s last art project. Placing Buckminster onto artists canvas, versus drawing him on paper then enhancing on the computer. This was the first time he had done so and he finished it just before Christmas. There are 13 individual canvases in the wall mounted collage.

Prior to Earl falling off the planet, he was working on these Duck Dynasty ‘toons and due to unforeseen circumstances he was not able to post them.

now for the sappy part…..Earl LOVED Karen Carpenter …

“I love you in a place

where there’s no space or time

I love you for in my life

you are a friend of mine

and when my life is over

      remember when we were together

we were alone and i was singing

      this song for you

            – karen carpenter

QUACKCITY will remain online so that people can play in the duck pond and experience a true DUCK DYNASTY. I will notify you if items are added.

My love to you all,

Husband of the Duck
